The retractable roof consists of a membrane with a folding area of 1.900m2, fixed on a steel construction and carried out by means of winches. In final position, the membrane is secured by hydraulic cylinders.
The mobile roof can be opened and closed in a short time; this operation is performed completely automatically by pressing a button.
Josefburg Castle is a popular tourist attraction in southern Tyrol; Kufstein is an emblem of the city, certified since 1205.
